DynamIP can establish and terminate DUN/RAS connections on demand and/or timer controlled. DynamIP can also launch/close other applications driven by events like "New Connection Established" or "Connection Terminated". DynamIP is able to automatically terminate a connection is the traffic falls below a user-defined threshold value - this is a great feature for unattended downloads of large files.

If you don't use a dial-up adapter to connect to the Internet (e.g. cable modems) you can still use DynamIP: use the Dynamic IP (Winsock) option instead of the Dynamic IP (RAS) option. See Setup|DUN/RAS for more details.
